Premium In Person ADHD assessment services for children and adolescents

Our comprehensive private in-person assessments for ADHD in children and adolescents are done from our own clinic in Cheshire.

Our child assessments are performed by one of our specialist CAMHS Psychiatrists. After your pre-assessment appointments and consultations, your assessment with our CAMHS psychiatrist is usually around 90 minutes and we look to achieve that you, your child and your family have a full and comprehensive understanding of the condition should a diagnosis be achieved.

Any relevant or recommended treatment pathways will also be discussed and explained in detail. If there is a recommendation for medication, an overview of the different types of medication will be provided. You will then of course be given time to think about your options for your child, yourself and your family, then one of our team will be in touch with you to offer any further information and answer any questions you may have post assessment.

We seek to provide a service that surpasses anything else that we believe is available today, providing individuals and families access to the best people and the best tools that allow us to evidence progression, together with treatment plans, medication delivery, and the support provided by our highly qualified and experienced team of multidisciplinary clinicians, all of whom specialise in conducting private ADHD assessments.

Unfortunately, too many children and young people are struggling to access ADHD assessment services. This needs to change, and we want to be a big part of that change.

We fully believe that we provide a service that surpasses anything else available today, giving individuals and families access to the best people, tools, treatments, medications, and support.

Benefits of in person
ADHD assessments

Access to ADHD assessments for children can be challenging, which is why we provide both in-person and online assessments. We fully understand that meeting our team and doctors in person can help in making both you and your child feel comfortable whilst undertaking your assessment. For younger children in particular, it can be hugely beneficial to have direct interaction between the child, the psychiatrist and the family unit. We have designed our clinic in Cheshire to be a welcoming and relaxed space for both the adult/carer and the child.

In some children (and perhaps in older children), an online assessment may be more familiar and relaxing for them, in so much as the world of screens and digital interaction is where they feel more comfortable. Some children and families prefer to be in the environment of their own home and space, and also the convenience that comes with this.

Our assessment process and robustness does not differ between in-person and online assessments.

Our team is a dedicated group of specialist psychiatrists and practitioners with a shared passion for helping individuals who suspect they may have a neurodevelopmental condition. We are committed to providing robust assessments and evidence based interventions that meet the needs of each individual.

Our process is designed to support you and your child through assessment, and treatment if appropriate. We are committed to placing you and your child at the heart of your health journey and will develop a personal support package which feels right for you and your child.

Or, have your child's
assessment online.

Our online ADHD assessment service is no different to our in person assessment, we have simply made it more accessible and convenient. Your child can be themselves in their natural environment, undertaking the assessment at a time that suits them.

What does our in-person assessment service entail?

We take an extremely comprehensive and personalised approach to all our ADHD assessments.

Our assessments for children and young people are fully supported by evidence-based, diagnostic tools such as the QB test and executive function tools and will usually involve input from the child, parents or guardians, and teachers and other family members.

By adopting a fully collaborative approach, it helps in supporting an in-depth and objective understanding of how your child's ADHD symptoms may have impacted them throughout their life and how treatments and pathways can help them in the future.

Why choose Beyond?

Beyond Clinics was founded by a team of people who have themselves been diagnosed with ADHD, and also with lived experience of having children with the condition.

Founded in response to the challenges of achieving not only a robust and meaningful ADHD diagnosis via both the private sector and the NHS, we also seek an understanding of treatment options and interventions.

Essentially we walk the same path as you every day, be that from a perspective of having ADHD or bringing up a child with the condition. We know exactly the kind of service, support and treatment we wish we had received.

So now, it’s our turn to provide the service that we believe every adult, child, carer or family deserves. That’s why throughout our entire service and process we offer services that other ADHD clinics don’t.
